Maths

This half term we will be looking at additon and subtraction with a particular focus on using the column method.  The children will practise using this method and will solve their own equations. Later on in the term the children will focus on learning their times tables. 

Times Tables
It is really important we learn our times tables.  The children have been working really hard to learn their times tables and are making great progress.  We will be building on the children's prior knowledge of their 2, 5 and 10 times tables that they have mastered in year 2 and we will be reinforcing that and learning our 3, 4 and 8 times tables. 

Here are the times tables we are working on this year. 

Can you learn them all? Ask a parent or someone at home to test you.
