Welcome to Ash Class!
We have got lots of exciting learning planned for this half term including our History topic on Anglo-Saxons and our science topic on Properties of Materials. In English we will be studying 'The Nowhere Emporium' by Ross Mckenzie and using a variety of videos and texts to learn more about different genres. We will also have weekly spelling lessons, learning more about the spelling patterns in Years 5 and 6 . Our maths will be develop children's numerical knowledge by focusing on place value, answering problem-solving questions, and furthering their understanding of calculations. Alongside this, children will be working daily on their arithmetic skills and on improving the speed of their multiplication tables knowledge.
Our PE for this half term will be Rugby. Children should come to school in their PE kits every Thursday.
Please remember to practise your weekly spellings and try to read your books for at least 5 minutes every day! Please also continue to practice your times tables regularly using TT Rockstars to help you. You also have a home learning grid where the expectation is that you will complete one activity each week. There will be Dojo points available for children who are working on their learning at home.
