Welcome to Birch Class!
We have got lots of exciting learning planned for our Year 5 topics this half term including our science topic on The Circulatory System and our history topic on Tudors. In English we will be studying Wonder by R J Palacio and writing a variety of fiction and non-fiction texts based on our reading. Our Maths work will include factors, multiples and primes and calculating with fractions. We will continue to answer problem solving questions and further our understanding of calculations.
Our PE for this half term will be invasion games. Children should come to school in their PE kits every Tuesday.
Please remember to practise your weekly spellings and try to read your books for at least 5 minutes every day! Please also continue to practice your times tables regularly using TT Rockstars to help you. You also have a home learning grid where the expectation is that you will complete one activity each week. There will be Dojo points available for children who are working on their learning at home.
