This half term, Birch Class will focus on legends. We will be studying the legend of Gelert and Beowulf in detail and use this to complete a number of short writing tasks, such as diaries, story extract and character descriptions. As well as this, we will develop a hybrid text in the form of a magazine. This will include a number of different text types, including persuasive writing, information texts and diaries.

We will study various other genres of texts through our daily whole class reading lessons and will also have daily grammar lessons.
